About me

Welcome, I'm so glad you're here

Lily Gordon, MAEd, LMHC (she/her)

I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Seattle, supporting women across Washington State who want to cultivate deeper, steadier relationships with themselves and the people in their lives.

The women I work with are thoughtful, driven, and used to carrying a lot, whether that's high-functioning anxiety, old relational wounds, or the grief of losing someone or something that shaped them.

Why I do this work

Looking back, it makes sense

I grew up in Los Angeles, where I cultivated a love of beachscapes and a healthy fear of ultraviolet rays. I graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Peace and Conflict Studies before returning to Los Angeles to pursue a career in brand communications.

A few years later, I moved into the nonprofit space. It was there that my work with cancer patients, caregivers, and grieving families inspired my pursuit of a master's degree in Counseling from Seattle University.

I relocated to Seattle in 2019 and never looked back, drawing comfort and energy from the lush greenery of the Pacific Northwest. Outside of work, you can find me in the woods with my rescue dog or curled up with a good book.

What to expect

A human approach to therapy

Therapy with me is a true collaboration. My approach is relational at its core, and I also draw on existential therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). In practice, our relationship becomes a safe place to notice old patterns as they show up. We'll also make room for the bigger questions, like what gives your life meaning, and practice moving toward what matters to you, even when hard feelings come along, so you can move through life with a little more clarity and ease. Through all of it, I'll respect your intuition and your lived experience.

How do I know if we're a fit?

It all starts with a conversation

You don't have to show up perfectly here. In fact, I hope you don't. Come unsure, a little messy, or right in the middle of figuring things out.

The easiest way to know if we're a good fit is to talk. A free 15-minute call gives you a chance to ask questions and get a feel for working together, with no pressure either way.
